If you visit Yosemite between May and November, you can reach the mile-long Tenaya Lake via the Tioga Pass Road. Outside these times, the weather conditions close the road. It is just these kind of extremes that helped form this stunning lake, created by the same glacier that forged Half Dome.
Tenaya Lake wasn’t on my list to shoot, but was another of those amazing California locations that I stumbled across. Having found it, I headed over to rent an early 20th century log cabin at Tioga Pass, ready to come and shoot Tenaya at different times in different light. This 360 was shot in early evening as the sun dropped behind the pines.
